I normally find vegan protein products a little chalky but Very Berry Vegan is quite the opposite. Another great meal-in-a-bottle, it contains the three main macronutrients, carbohydrates, protein and fat, but also contains a mix of berries and beetroot, contributing one of your five portions of fruit and vegetables per day.
It’s the ideal choice for vegans or anyone wanting to make more plant-based choices as the product uses the EXALT vegan protein blend as a base.
The nitrates found in beetroot are linked to performance benefits. This product could serve as a pre-training meal so you are able to reap the associated physical benefits whilst you train.

If you think it’s tough to get high-quality whey protein on the move, it is even harder to find quality vegan protein. As a non-vegan, there is also a strong case for diversifying your protein source. A further issue is taste. Many vegan proteins have an unpleasant chalky taste that can overwhelm whatever they are mixed with.
Luckily, EXALT have spent a lot of time developing their blend. It still tastes like a vegan protein - but actually in a good way. In the Verry Berry, the texture compliments the vanilla and berries. Given the macro profile and at 500ml its a great alternative to a meal whilst on the go.

What the science says
Beetroot contains nitrates which increases the levels of nitric oxide in the body. A higher level of nitric oxide promotes vasodilation, meaning the blood vessels are dilated to promote increased blood flow and gas exchange1.
This has seen improvements in performance with regards to strengthening and efficiency of muscle contraction, cardiorespiratory endurance2 and improved resistance training performance2.
As part of a health diet, beetroot is also associated with reducing oxidative stress and inflammation, an issue in many long-term health conditions such as obesity, heart disease and cancer 3.
Verry Vegan provides 120% of your daily required intake of Manganese. Manganese contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress, and thereby acts as an antioxidant.
